Penn State New Kensington honored campus faculty and staff at the 22nd Faculty Research Reception held in the Elisabeth S. Blissell Library on Dec. 4. In addition to recognizing faculty and staff publication and awards, this year’s event also featured a panel of faculty researchers who offered remarks and answered questions from attendees.
To help manufacturing workers keep pace with the evolution of skills required in this important sector, the Penn State College of Engineering will offer a new set of manufacturing microcredential courses, beginning in February 2025 and running throughout the spring, summer and fall.
A draft proposal of Penn State’s institutional strategic plan has been unveiled and shared with the community for feedback and discussion. Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses and Westmoreland County Community College, building upon a long-standing relationship, have entered into a new articulation agreement designed to enhance educational opportunities and improve the rate at which students obtain undergraduate degrees in Pennsylvania.
Applications are now being accepted for the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania (TCCP) Women in Mentoring program. Students, faculty and staff across all Penn State campuses have free access to virtual technology programming thanks to a partnership with TCCP spearheaded by Penn State Harrisburg, a longtime member of the council.
